Hunter S Rivord

Allow me to introduce myself—Hunter S. Rivord, an abstract painter hailing from the beautiful city of San Diego, CA. My artistic journey has been a unique one, shaped by my experiences serving in the Air Force for the past 12 years. Through my art, I aim to delve into my culture, past life events, and a profound inner void, capturing attention and evoking emotions along the way.

Currently residing in the vibrant community of Dayton, OH, I've had the incredible opportunity to showcase my work at "The Betty Gallery" nestled in the heart of the Front Street art district. Balancing my busy military schedule, I always carve out time to paint, particularly during the spring and summer months when I find inspiration in experimenting with new techniques and materials. Some of my most remarkable creations have come to life during these seasons, reflecting my dedication to constantly pushing the boundaries of my craft.

Over the years, I've been humbled by the support of a loyal following among art enthusiasts and collectors alike. My work has graced the walls of numerous establishments and galleries across the country, and I've been fortunate enough to create custom pieces for both private collectors and public spaces. Despite these successes, I've remained grounded and down-to-earth, using my art as a means to inspire and uplift others.

My paintings have often been described as "sublime," possessing an innate ability to evoke wonder and transcendence. I achieve this through the bold utilization of colors, the incorporation of dramatic textures, and the expressive forms that adorn each canvas. The interplay between light and shadow within my artwork creates a captivating depth, drawing viewers into a world of contemplation and introspection.

Ultimately, my paintings seek to inspire awe and invite viewers to ponder the mysteries and grandeur of the natural world and the human experience. I sincerely hope you have the opportunity to experience my work firsthand and join the community of admirers who find solace and inspiration within my art.
